Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
Sustainable Economics & Business Review (SEBR) welcomes original manuscripts that contribute to sustainable economics, business, and related interdisciplinary studies. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and prepared in accordance with these guidelines.
1. Types of Manuscripts
- Research Articles (empirical or theoretical)
- Review Articles (systematic, bibliometric, or conceptual reviews)
- Case Studies (industry, community, policy, or organizational cases)
- Short Communications (brief reports of novel findings)
2. Focus and Scope Fit
Submissions should align with SEBR’s aims to advance scholarship and practice in sustainable economics and business, including (but not limited to) sustainability strategy, ESG, green finance, responsible governance, circular economy, social entrepreneurship, sustainable supply chains, and public policy for sustainable development.
3. Submission Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
- All submissions must be made online via the SEBR OJS.
- File format: .DOC / .DOCX (preferred). PDF may be requested for review proof only.
- Use the official SEBR Article Template where applicable.
4. Article Structure
SEBR recommends the following structure for research articles:
- Title (concise and informative)
- Abstract (150–250 words) and Keywords (3–6 words)
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Methods (data, sampling, instruments, analysis)
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion (including implications and limitations)
- References
- Appendices (if necessary)
5. Formatting Guidelines
- Language: English (consistent academic style).
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt; line spacing 1.15–1.5.
- Paper size: A4; margins: 2.5 cm (recommended).
- Tables and figures must be numbered, titled, and cited in the text.
- Provide high-quality figures (minimum 300 dpi if raster images are used).
6. References and Citations
- Use a consistent citation style throughout the manuscript.
- Ensure every in-text citation appears in the reference list and vice versa.
- Use recent and relevant literature; include DOIs where available.
7. Research Ethics and Integrity
- Authors must comply with SEBR Publication Ethics and avoid plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification.
- Any use of AI tools for language editing must be disclosed (if applicable) and authors remain fully responsible for content accuracy.
- Studies involving human participants must state ethics approval (or exemption) and informed consent where relevant.
8. Peer Review Process
SEBR applies a double-blind peer review. Manuscripts may undergo an initial desk screening to assess scope fit, quality, and compliance with the template and ethics policies before being sent to reviewers.
9. Revision and Resubmission
- Authors must address reviewer comments clearly and submit a response letter.
- Revised manuscripts should highlight changes or provide tracked changes when requested.
10. Copyright and Open Access
SEBR supports broad dissemination of knowledge. Authors should review the journal’s Open Access Policy, Copyright Notice, and License information before submission.
